Struggling Sinner, Forgiven Christian

It doesn't take a genius to realize this world has a lot of things wrong with it. Perhaps the thing that is the most apparent is the way people treat themselves and others. As Christians, we believe sin is anything that separates us from God. Secret sin is the worst. Holding guilt, shame and stress inside, hoping no one will find out makes you a slave to that lie. When you pretend everything is right when its not, you are lying. People are always afraid of what happens when others find out. The crazy thing is, they are more concerned with the judgment of man when the creator of the universe is the only one who can judge you. In my mind, I would much rather the people around me thinking bad of me than God. But maybe that's just me. Freedom comes with prayer asking forgiveness and letting people know that you are not perfect. In telling other people you trust who care about you, you might just find that you feel more loved than judged. :)

  1. I agree! When we tell others about our sins and share our imperfections, though we may be judged by some, the people who care a lot about us will often make us feel more loved than anything! This reminds me of Dr. Seuss' "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"! Cool post!
