Who
knows more than anyone in the world that knows what will make us happy?
God Knows What makes us happy. All
People want in life is happiness in their life. Every decision we ever make has
as its goal our own happiness. Some of us, believe that happiness will come having six pack abs, able to do hundreds of crunches
and run for miles. Others of us, anticipating the more immediate happiness of
leisure and flavor, just by sit back and open a can of Coke o Cola with a bag of
chips and dip, and enjoy a good football game on TV. Different means, but the
same end. We all want to be happy. The Bible encourages us to be happy. In
fact, if anything, the message of the Bible is that we love our own happiness
too little, not too much. We are frequently commanded to delight, to rejoice,
to be happy. The truth is we were made to be happy. God’s greatest overarching passion is that we would
experience limitless joy in his unbounded greatness. So if beer makes you happy, then there’s nothing wrong with that, but remember too much might get you in trouble. Also remember God is Great, Beer is Good and People are Crazy.
