The thing with secret sin is that we keep it a secret to protect ourselves. That in itself is a sin, because we are becoming too proud, and aren't willing to humble ourselves to allow the sin to come to light. The reason I label this "No point in keeping this a secret" is because one day, we will give an account for every sin, thought, etc to God, so what is the point of waiting until that day to shed light in the darkest parts of your life?
It's interesting to think that not only is your sin a sin, but not confessing your sin is also a sin- so in order to not have deal with your sin you've sinned doubly. It's like how you always get in trouble more when you lie about doing something wrong rather than if you had just come clean about what you had done.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting how many sins can find their roots in pride. It's very interesting.
