"He that lieth down with Dogs, shall rise up with Fleas."
This quote is one that I've heard my whole life, and I agree with it totally.
This proverb is even mentioned in the Bible in I Corinthians 15:33, where it says: "Bad company corrupts good morals." Although this quote can be said different ways, the message remains the same in every rendition: there are negative consequences to hanging out with the 'wrong crowd'. You cannot expect to lie down with dogs and not get dirty, just like you cannot spend time with bad people and expect to become a better person yourself!
