In the world we live in today, keeping a relationship with God isn't easy. More than ever Christians are being approached with discrimination and temptations that didn't exist before. As high school kids preparing to take on the rigorous events of life after graduation, our faith will be under attack especially. We will graduate into a world that is very different from the one our parents' lived in when they were our age. They're are so many more opportunities now to stray away from the path God has laid out for us. Staying on that path and keeping the relationship with God will be a challenge. But just because it will be hard doesn't mean we should turn our tail and take the punches that the devils throwing. We should be doing the exact opposite. When in a fight, you don't let your opponent knock you around as they please, you show your grit and you punch them right back. As Christians in the world today we need to stop being passive and start being active with the faith God has given us. The world may seem more corrupt than its ever been, but in that corruption, our faith should shine brighter than its ever been as well. We are in spiritual warfare. There is an urgency to the word
warfare that we need to stop taking so lightly. When we head out into the world its going to be a trial through fire to see if we can keep roll with the punches and fight right back. So are you ready to fight?
See you tomorrow amigos,
Dalton
While I do think it's impossible to stray from the path that God has laid before us... I do agree that we absolutely need to be prepared to fight head on using our most powerful sword. God's Word, just think about how Jesus handled being tempted in the wilderness.
