Fight or flight? The answer seems easier said than done...

Yes. Christianity is under attack in today's culture.

So the question of "fight or flight" has been posed.

Well to me, the answer to this question seems obvious: fight!

Unfortunately, Christians have become increasingly quiet. Instead of standing up for what they believe in, many believers today quietly sit down. They don't want to offend anyone. They are afraid to correct wrong behaviors and morals, because they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I think if we are all honest, we have all done this ourselves. I know definitely have. The truth is, is that being a Christian is not about pleasing everyone. The truth that all unsaved sinners will go to Hell is not a pretty fact. However, Jesus spread this message, along with the message of God's saving grace, to everyone while he was here on earth.

So, these are indeed interesting times. Things are changing rapidly in America. As Christians, it is important to stay grounded in our faith and to remember why we are here. We must make our focus spreading God's truths and the message of salvation. And as we do this, we must remember to not be afraid to stand up for what is right, and not just be "ok" with things that are almost right. We as Christians need to stop worry about pleasing people, and be focused on pleasing God.
