Our Secret Sins

As we all know everyone sins. There's nothing we can do about it except to ask God for forgiveness. But we can confide in each other so we don't have to share the burden of our sins alone. By sharing our sins that we have kept secret for who knows how long not only can we relieve ourselves of the burden of that sin but we can ask the people we are sharing with to pray for us. Having the forgiveness of God and the support of our brothers and sisters in Christ makes it so much easier to live with the sin we have committed. One thing we find in The Crucible is that Proctor cost people their lives by not speaking up and sharing his sin with the town about his affair with Abigail. Now in today's world we might not necessarily cost someone their lives, but if we commit a sin and do not share it with someone that that sin may have wronged, then that person will not be happy with you when they find out on their own. It is always better to tell the truth and share your sins so that not only can you receive the support of others but also so that the consequences of your actions will not be as bad.
