#blessed

In our culture now a days everyone wants to seem perfect all the time and make everyone think that they have their life together. This is the reason why on social media everyone is always posting about the good things they have done and the happy times in their life. No one ever purposefully posts an unflattering picture of themselves or posts about something terrible they did. Social media is where people try to control your opinion of them by only showing what they want you to see. Its like a mask that makes it seem like everything is great. People are the same way when it comes to sin. No one wants people to think badly of them and its hard to put your sin out in the open, Especially when it means your reputation is at stake. Christians have developed a reputation of being judgmental and hypocritical and this is because no one is willing to put their sin in the open and ask for forgiveness. If every single person in a church confessed their sin everyone would quickly realize that they have no right to judge anyone because everyone has sinned. God is the only rightful judge and he has told us not to be judgmental and to confess our sins to one another. It is a hard thing to do but it offers a lot of freedom to put your struggles out in the open instead of keeping them bottled up. Next time someone comes to you with a sin they have been struggling with try to be understanding and to remember that God is the only rightful judge and we need to be loving of others no matter what their struggles are.

  1. I like your analogy between the church and social media. We are almost turning church into a social media site and when we do that, we aren't getting as much out of church as we should.

  2. I agree with you in that people say that christians are hypocrites, even if we aren't trying to...It's sad if you think about it,
