Why is Florida so weird??

There are many weird things in the US and all over the world, but Florida has some pretty crazy people. In Florida, on their local news there have been countless events that are pretty weird.  On story is that there is a local business that will bring alligators with their mouths taped shut to kids birthday parties and pool parties. Like how stupid are you to let a alligator that could kill someone swim around in a pool with kids. Like wouldn't that be dangerous or something. Another weird and stupid story is that a Florida man died  after he was competing at a bug eating contest at his local reptile store.  Like if your going to eat bugs at least make sure they wont kill you first.
