American Pride

American pride is a common attribute in Americans. The "pride" is not necessarily negative in this case. It simply means we recognize the incredible blessings that we have been given living in such a country. It is because of this that Americans desire to be the best at everything.
This desire initially stems from a culture that revolves around the greatness of our nation. In most homes, flags are flown proudly and children grow up hearing about the great blessings they have from the endless opportunities.
This heritage was brought to life when immigrants came from England to America. In England, they were kept down by a oppressive social hierarchy. Peasants and laborers could never rise beyond their initial status. When they came to America, they realized that they could rise however high they took themselves.
This is why Americans believe that they should be the best: Because America was one of the first nations in which a person could make themselves the best, despite their current status.
I would like to see the biggest artificial dinosaur.
