America is weird. We are so much more different than the other countries of the world, it's like we're the bipolar child of the world. There are so many cultures within the U.S, it is as if America has a little world within it. Does this make it better than the other countries? Well, there are two ways to approach this...
First, one might say America is better because it has assimilated so many cultures of the world to become a uniquely different country.
Or, one might say because of all the cultures of different countries America has within, it is the same as all the countries, as it has a little of each within it (once again, like a mini world within one country).
Also, the American approach to freedom, violent revolution, was one of the first and few successful of its kind. This quality of "earned" freedom has drawn these immigrants from other countries, making the U.S. more appealing to them than their current country. So, one of the reasons America is unique is because of these immigrants, providing for the vast array of cultures within one country, setting us apart.
On the political side however, the succession of our leaders has led America into a downfall. We are no longer reigning supreme in the world for our horrible management and foreign affairs. Our economics are also suffering, and the fast developing of other countries is quickly catching up to our slowww development.
Is America unique? Yes. Is America number one? Not so much anymore...

BUT HEY! We have the LARGEST PRAIRIE DOG!!!!
That's gotta count for something. His name is Alan (possibly) and all the other prairie dogs love him.
