The strangest state

Florida has many wonderful qualities. Beaches, sunsets, dolphins, and fishies are all what bring visitors to Florida every year. Speeding limits, mosquitos, and strange stories that are whispered in unbelief are what keep those people from staying in Florida.
For example, people expect many tropical traits from the state. They welcome the heat, flowers, and birds. What they do not expect, however, is a monkey that vandalizes a neighborhood.
In a neighborhood in Florida, a resident's monkey found its way out of the house and into the street. From there, it had a field day. It climbed mailboxes, had a snack (of the neighbor's mail), and then welcomed the police by ripping off the molding from the top of their car.
Only in Florida.
Another more frightful example of Florida's strangeness terrified a young female resident. She was sleeping in her home (which was near the everglades). She woke up to see a Boa constrictor had decided to find a nice dry home--at the foot of her bed. Screaming, she ran from her house and called the police. The police came and removed the gigantic snake, but the woman did not sleep well in that house again.
Another reason I will never live in Florida.

  1. Yeah, I would leave for good if a boa constrictor found its way into my room while I was asleep!
