Charity and A Georgian Barbeque

As we all know the south is known for its hospitality and good food. Well on April 27 last year Jan Greef held the worlds longest barbeque to raise money for the Diabetes Research Foundation. It lasted 80 hours in the city of Columbus, Georgia. Greef cooked 1000 hot dogs, 200 pieces of corn, 104 pieces of chicken, 558 burgers, and 526 boereworse (South African sausage). The Georgian, who is of South African descent, raised 10,000 dollars for the charity and brought home a more interesting record than busiest airport for his home state. Part of the reason the United States hold so many world records is because we strive to do great and good for the benefit of others and our country.
