FLORIDA MAN, DOLPHINS, GRANDMA, OH MY

FLORIDA MAN BREAKS INTO SCHOOL TO CALL GRANDMA

It was a normal day for Aaron Richardson, until he had a sudden and pressing urge come over him. He had just finished driving his gold cart around the school grounds. He reminisced upon the good and bad times he enjoyed while he went here a year or two back. He sighed, his eyes roaming over the grounds that were once his walking turf. Abruptly, his head shook, and his peaceful revelry was broken. The gas pedal on the golf cart was then slammed down to the floor, as he in all his efforts raced towards the back of the school. A fence had been put up to contain the yard in the back, but it was no obstacle for Richards. He quickly vaulted the fence and sprinted across the yard to the main building. It was evening, so Richards concluded the school had already been closed up due to the lack of running lights and unlocked doors. But, Richards was not daunted by these factors either. He picked a door lock and ran down the halls to the front office, vaguely hearing some sort of alarm in the background. A phone was spotted and he quickly snatched it up, fumbling to dial the number in his head. No answer. Angrily, he slammed down the phone, stalked about the room for a minute, then took off down the next hallway. Arriving at the concessions booth for the basketball team, he squeezes in through the gap left between the counter and the slider covering the window. Rolling off the counter, he spots the computer he was searching for in the corner of the small room. Sauntering over to it triumphantly, he sits and proceeds to Facebook, where he once again tries to contact the person he called earlier. But, after typing and pressing send, he gets a message error.
His eyes suddenly harden, and his hands begin to shake. Slowly, he stands from his chair and turns away from the computer. For a moment, it seems as though he has become calm, until he whirls around and slams his fist into the computer screen shattering it. He grunts in triumph, and leaves the booth by the same way he entered. He begins trotting down the hall to the phone at the front desk once again, and begins to dial the number, when suddenly he is blinded by an eye-piercing blue light through the front doors and windows. He drops the phone, his mouth wide as two officers come through the front door. Putting up his hands, a sob escapes his throat. The officers give him a strange look as they eye him warily. Richards falls to his knees, looks at the ceiling and then screams until his faces is red. The bewildered officers take his arms and lift him to his feet guiding him to the patrol car. His head is limp, and his lip quivers. "I wanted to call Grandma" he sobbed. The cops look at each other, shrug, and sit him in the back of the car.

FLORIDA KIDS SWIM WITH DOLPHINS

Isabella Johnson was bouncing with delight! Today was the day she would finally get to swim with the Dolphins. Every 3 years, the state would hold a day for the underprivileged kids in her area of Florida to swim with the Dolphins at a coastal resort. She was so excited and had been waiting for 14 months for this day since she had found out she would get to participate. She dressed herself in her favorite swim suit, navy and pink stripes with a little flower on the shoulder. Her mom packed a towel and a lunch for her as they would be there most of the afternoon. She smiled at her friend Joshua Campbell, who grinned at her from ear to ear. The two lived on the same street and had been friends since the start of the school year. Isabella and the other children lined up in two rows to be outfitted with life vests, while the teacher chaperoned handed in their wavers. After she was given a life vest, Isabella walked over to the side where they were told to wait. She and Joshua shared excited conversation while they waited for the other kids. Finally, it was time to move to the water, where they would get to be with the Dolphins. One at a time, the kids plopped into the water, all very excited as to when they would let the Dolphins out. A water gate at one end of the water opened up, and in swam the Dolphins, at first in a majestic line and then beginning to mingle with the kids. Giggles, splashing and excited talking were heard all over the water. Isabella stared at the Dolphin in front of her, slowly smiled and held out her hand. The Dolphin "smiled" back and then, amazingly, began to talk, introducing itself as Ryan Tannehill, quarterback for the Dolphins. Isabella grinned as she told him how much she liked the Dolphins and how purely awesome it was to be here today. As the half hour of swim time passed, Isabella talked to the Dolphins, some being Cameron Wake and Jarvis Landry. Some of the Dolphins put their helmets on to swim to amuse the kids, and Isabella especially thought this was great. After swimming, the kids and the Dolphins ate lunch together by the water, producing the best time of Isabella's life, she says.
