The Divided States of America

With election season upon us, we are hearing a lot about how divided we are as a country. Democrat vs. Republican, left vs. right, blue vs. red, liberal vs. conservative: middle ground is harder than ever to find. But politics is not the only way to categorize Americans. In the ever-important category of breakfast foods, did you know we are either waffle people or pancake people? And can you imagine living in a place that didn't have a Waffle House or two at every highway exit?

For your blog post paragraph today, divide American in two. You can write about the political divide or another serious divide, such as race or religion. Or you can research another, less obvious way that we can be placed into two categories. Our nation is one of the most heterogeneous major nations in the world, so there should be no end to our differences.
