What if it all became a musical?!

I personally like how Huck Finn ended, so here comes what happens next (from the imagination of a theater kid!)...

  • Huck decides to take some of the $6,000 he ended up with and invests in his own theater in a small town in Kentucky
  •  The Duke and King escape the angry mob, find Huck's theater, and offer (or demand) to start a company there... They name the theater "The Very, Very Royal Theatre"
  • Tom Sawyer runs off to find Huck and persuades him to leave his theater because he doesn't believe it's a big enough adventure
  • Mary Jane and her two sisters travel to Kentucky to visit Huck, but when they realize the Duke and King are back, they decide to exploit the scoundrels once again...
  • The Duke and King are imprisoned, and the theatre is turned into the "Berry Theater"
  • Before Tom and Huck leave the theater to the girls, they decide to turn some of the poems of the dead Emmeline Grangerford into a musical... However, after about a week of working, they decide that their musical would be far too depressing for an audience to appreciate.
  • After the boys leave and head off to explore the Territory, the girls end up producing the real Hamlet and other Shakespeare works, and the theater becomes extremely successful
  • After 8 years of exploring, Huck comes back to Kentucky and marries Mary Jane
  • The great grand daughter of Mary Jane becomes a Ziegfeld Folly

The End!

P.S. There is actually a Broadway Musical version of Huck Finn called "Big River". It's awesome!
