As soon as the story ends, Jim proceeds to go free his family once reunited and he decides to head west where he and his family can seek a fresh start. Huck also goes west, in an attempt to find more adventure. Jim and his family prevent Huck from going on his own, and together using Huck's money they all go west (cue the pet shop boys). After their departure, the story Tom Sawyer and the Undead occurs, giving Tom the adventure that he always wanted.  after that happened, they all lived happily,except of course the duke and king who spent the rest of their life begging for money in misery and agony as being tarred and feathered leaves a person in excruciating pain, and makes it very difficult for them to scam any more people.
