Once there was a boy from Texas. His family had lived there forever in the same house. The boy was very happy there. He lived on a large plot of land in a nice house. It was old and creaky but it was warm and cozy. Like most kids he spent all day outside so he never really cared that he wasn't allowed in the spare room. After all it was probably just storage.
However, one time he did go in that room. It wasn't his fault though. It was because he had to babysit his cousins and of course they wanted to play hide and seek. One of the little girls hid in that room. He would have never known if he hadn't heard a thump and then crying. He rushed in panicked partly because he wasn't supposed to be in there but mostly because his little cousin was probably injured.
As it turns out, his little cousin had only backed into a table and knocked a box off it. Unfortunately the box was cracked on impact. Whatever. That could be dealt with later. Right now his little cousin needed ice cream.
It wasn't until a week later that he realized something was wrong. He woke up a couple times in the middle of the night that week. Always with a feeling of being watched. This wasn't so bad except when he had to got to the bathroom. Made it a bit awkward. As soon as he got used to the feeling of being watched, everything got worse. Seeing things out of the corner of your eye and feeling hands tug at your clothes is unnerving for anyone but watching your aunt die? That'll mess a person up.
When his aunt was staying with him and his parents it was a bit tense. His dad didn't like his aunt but she had just split up with her husband and had nowhere else to go. Family is family after all. One night after a particularly nasty fight between his dad and aunt, the boy when to bed early. When he woke up in the middle of the night to get some water he walked passed his aunt sleeping on the couch. He wouldn't have payed her any mind besides the fact that someone was standing next to her head. At first he thought it was his dad but no. His dad wasn't that tall. When the boy turned to get a good look at who it was, the thing vanished. The boy shrugged figuring he was seeing things again. He got his water and returned to bed.
He had just drifted off again when he heard a scream. He jumped out of bed and ran downstairs to his aunt. He was just in time to see her be lifted up by that shadow man. He called out to her just as the shadow stabbed his hand right into her stomach and pulled out her intestines. The boy screamed and ran toward his aunt and held her stupidly asking if she was okay and rocking her back and forth. It didn't matter that he was getting covered in her blood, he didn't even notice. Then he heard his father shouting his name.
The boy looked over his mom and dad wondering why they hadn't come down sooner. They had worried expressions on their faces but not nearly as concerned as they should be with his aunt lying in a pool of her own blood. He screamed at them telling them to call the police but they just stared back at him in confusion. It wasn't until his aunt got up from the couch and asked what was happening. He just stared at her with his mouth open. He'd just seen her be killed hadn't he?
Once his family had calmed him down enough to talk, he explained what he saw. Of course they didn't believe him. They said it was only a nightmare. He knew better. You can't feel and smell in dreams. He had felt her blood soak into his clothes. He had smelt the viscera and blood.
Another two weeks and it had just gotten worse. He'd watched his aunt get slaughtered different ways each night but no one believed him. Even when his aunt complained of horrible pains in her abdomen. His parents even wanted him to go to a therapist. He wasn't crazy though! It really was happening!
The third week was when it happened. Like the past two weeks he awoke at 2 am and went downstairs for water. He couldn't help it. Something told him to. So again he saw the shadow man lift up his aunt and pull out her heart. He watched it beat once, twice, three times, then no more. The creature then ate her heart and faded into the shadows. That's when he heard his parents scream. He looked back at his aunt expecting her to be fine but instead he saw her blood and organs leaking out of her open chest. His mother was sobbing, asking what he'd done.
She thought he killed his own aunt? He didn't even have her blood on him! There's no way he did it! Luckily his father seemed to realize that and took his mother to the other room to explain.
After they calmed down they made a plan. They knew the police would never believe that a shadow man had killed the boy's aunt so they did the only thing they could. They cleaned up. While his mom washed the blood out of the couch and the rug, his father got rid of the body. Luckily his father was a hunter and knew how to clean out a carcass. Once cleaned out, he put the rest of the boy's aunt meat in the freezer with their venison and other game meat. He tossed the "inedible" parts out into the pigpen knowing they'd get rid of it all very quickly. The bones were the only problem. They didn't have anything that could grind them well. Normally they'd use the bones to make a broth but they didn't have time for that. Luckily the storage room upstairs had a box where they could store the bones.
When the boy's dad brought the box downstairs he looked very troubled. The box had a crack in it. The boy didn't think that would be too big of a problem but his dad was obviously freaking out. He kept muttering about how he wishes he knew who had been in there and that there was no time to make a new box. As the boy was about to open the box to put the bones in it, his father yelled at him to stop. The boy shouldn't have to know about this so soon so he sent his son to help his mother.
After another two hours of cleaning everything was fine. No evidence was left. The only thing to do was to move. Of course they waited another couple months so as to not seem suspicious but eventually they did move. They didn't want to leave the south, after all that's where their family had always lived, so they moved only a few states over to Georgia.
The boy still sees shadows but they seem much more welcoming and kind. He was still wary of them but he slept just fine and didn't wake up in the middle of the night anymore. His family is nice and happy and they go to church each Sunday but they're still followed. They all know it but they don't speak of it. After all, it takes a while for a soul to become twisted and evil. The box will be someone else's problem by then.

The Game
It's a dull and rainy evening in November. Jarett and Remi Reilly live with their parents in a small neighborhood in Alpharetta, in a house which they just moved into about three months ago. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood and the kids don't think it very special, but Mrs. Reilly says it will get better. They had to move from Chicago because of Mr. Reilly's job.
Jarett has had his driver's license for two weeks now, and Remi has never ridden with him, mainly because she is only seven and sometimes has trouble controlling herself, so it's hard for Jarett to take her places. However, today, while Mr. Reilly works, Mrs. Reilly is in Atlanta for a service project and has asked Jarett to take Remi to her friend's birthday party at a pizza place only a few miles from their house. He agrees and both kids watch from the living room window as their mom backs her car out of the dimly lit driveway. About five minutes later, Jarett starts the car, but Remi remembers she has to get her friend a gift. About five minutes down the road, Jarett pulls the car into the parking lot of Walmart. The kids hop out and Jarett makes Remi promise she will stay with him and not run off. "Sure," Remi replies. "And do you have money for me?" Her big brother holds out a ten.
After about twelve minutes of looking in the girl's clothing section and all the toy and candy aisles, Jarett reminds Remi that she needs to pick something out, or she'll be late to her friend's party. "Look!" Remi exclaims as she rushes over to the board games. Jarett hurries after her and watches her as she grabs Monopoly from the shelf. "I've never played this before," says Remi excitedly. "Can we get it?" "For Bella?" "Her name isn't Bella, it's Bailey. And no, not her. Us!" Jarett thinks for a second but tells his sister that they came only to get something for her friend. "I don't think I have enough money for two things, Remi." Discouraged, Remi sets the game back on the shelf and glances around for something for her friend. Meanwhile, Jarett's eye is caught by an interesting looking board game... The box is gray, and written on the front in bold black letters is "Try Me." He picks up the game on the front of the shelf and, immediately, a few tiny black figures drop from it to the ground below him. He flips it over and is shocked to see a giant hole in the back of the box. Remi turns around and reaches down to pick up the little black characters. "Jarett, look! It looks a little like old Mr. Larry from the neighborhood," Remi exclaims with a giggle. Jarett picks up the other pieces and studies their faces. "Funny little characters," he observes. "Can I keep this one?" Remi asks. "I guess", says Jarett, "considering it's probably missing a bunch of pieces already." Jarett takes one more look at the hole in the back of the box and then sets it back on the shelf. "Let's get going. You don't wanna miss your party."
As Remi takes her friend's game to the cash register, Jarett reaches into his pocket and pulls out the three little black figures he kept from the broken board game. Remi hands her game to the cashier and asks her brother for money to pay. Before he can reach into his pocket for his wallet, Remi notices the figures in his hand and gasps. She grabs the skinniest one and declares, "this is Ms. Molly." Jarett is confused. "What are you talking about, Remi?" Once again, she states confidently, "this is Ms. Molly, my teacher." She grabs another one. "And this is mom!" Jarett grabs it immediately and stares at its face. "I don't see it, Remi. You're silly." Remi gets louder. "No, Jarett! This is mom! Look!" He grabs the change from the cashier, hands his sister her game, and leads her swiftly out of Walmart.
Just as Jarett and gets in the car, he gets a call on his phone. It's Mrs. Reilly. Remi watches her brother's face through the car mirror as he listens intently to the voice on the other side. He sets the phone down into the passenger seat, and Remi asks why he looks upset. "Nothing, Remi. It's okay." She questions him more. "No, you don't look good. What's wrong?" Jarett decides to tell her but doesn't know how to. "Mom just got a call from your school, Remi. Um... well, I..." His gaze doesn't move from the window as he tries to find the words. "Ms. Molly. She, uh... she was in the hospital last night," continues Jarett. "I know," says Remi. "She said she was going to get her knee fixed." "Well..." says Jarett, "this morning, she died." He turned to look at his little sister's face. A mixture of shock and horror overcame her, but she didn't say a word, nor did she cry. As if a strange idea invaded her mind, she slowly reached into her pocket and pulled out the black figures she had with her. The skinny one she declared to have looked like her teacher was now faceless and felt immensely lighter to Remi.

The Big Green Monster
There was a young girl named Eva, who was soon to be a big sister. A few weeks later her mother had the baby. When she came home from the hospital, Eva was delighted!
"This is Delilah," her mother said. "You're her big sister. You have to treat her with love and care."
"I will, Mama," Eva said with a smile.
But after the baby arrived, her mother didn't seem to have any time for her. The baby cried all day and all night. Eva couldn't bear to hear her screaming and bawling. She couldn't even think and eventually, she had enough.
"Mama! I'm sick and tired of hearing her cry!" she shouted. "I can't study with all this racket! Can you please shut her up?"
"You need to be more understanding," her mother said. "Delilah is just a baby. You're her big sister."
"But you're always with Delilah," Eva cried. "You never have time for me anymore. I'd like to spend time with you too, mama. I'd like to go to the store with you, to the park with you.."
"You're old enough to go to all those places by yourself," her mother said. "So shut your mouth and stop being so selfish."
"I hate you!" Eva screamed as she burst into tears.
She ran upstairs, slammed her door and locked herself in her room. That night Eva had a very disturbing dream. In the nightmare, she saw herself walking through the house in darkness. She went into her mother's room and tip-toed over to the baby's crib. Then, she picked up her little sister and carried her downstairs. She opened the back door and brought Delilah out to the garden. There, by the light of the moon, she fetched a shovel from the shed, dug a little hole in the wet grass and buried her little sister alive.
When she woke up in the morning, Eva was shaking and covered in sweat. She felt sick to her stomach. The nightmare had seemed so real. She was horrified.
"Mom was right," she thought. "Delilah is just a baby and I'm her big sister. I need to learn to put up with things like this. I'm going to ask mom to forgive me."
Just then, her mother burst into her room. Tears were streaming down her face.
"Eva, do you know where Delilah is?" she asked. "When I woke up this morning, she wasn't in her crib. Do you know anything?"
The little girl shook her head.
"Are you sure?" her mother demanded. "You really don't know anything? Do you swear?"
Eva gulped. "Yes, I swear."
"Alright! Alright!" her mother said. "Help me find her!"
They searched the house from top to bottom, but they couldn't find Delilah, she was nowhere to be seen. Finally, her mother fell to her knees and began sobbing uncontrollably.
"Where did she go? How could she just disappear like this?" her mother wailed.
Eva was wringing her hands nervously.
"Eva you know something!" her mother screamed. "Eva you know what happened to Delilah, don't you!"
"No, I don't know anything..." Eva said.
"I know when you're lying!" her mother shouted. "Tell me! Where is Delilah?"
Eva couldn't bear the guilt anymore. she looked out the window and pointed at a little mound of earth in the garden.
"No!" her mother cried "Dear God! No! This cant be true!
"Mama!" the little girl sobbed. she tried to grab her mother's hand.
"Don't touch me!" her mother screamed. "You killed Delilah, didn't you! You killed her because you were jealous!"
"I didn't mean it, Mama!" Eva cried. "I didn't mean it!"
Her mother flew into a violent rage. she grabbed her daughter by the neck and began choking the life out of her. she squeezed and squeezed until she couldn't squeeze anymore. by the time she came to her senses, Eva lay dead on the wooden floor.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
The mother got to her feet and answered it.
When she opened the door, she saw her neighbor standing outside. he was holding Delilah in his arms.
"We found her crawling around outside," he said. "She must have gotten out of her crib during the night. Good thing we found her before something bad happened..."
"This is Delilah," her mother said. "You're her big sister. You have to treat her with love and care."
"I will, Mama," Eva said with a smile.

The scariest thing ever.
After a long day of school, Harris went home. He was so tired that all he wanted to do was watch Netflix. But to his horror, he opened his phone and realized that the WiFi was down.
The End...
The End...
Rain of Dirt
I smiled as I sat down on the grassy field. The grass blades bent around me in the wind, engaged in a jubilant dance with the breeze. I leaned back and laid my head on a soft bed of moss, watching as the clouds passed by above.
For a moment, the world faded, as my mind slowly began to wake. But the dream held on, and happily I slipped back into the peaceful world.
I had just spotted a funny looking cloud when a rain drop fell upon my cheek. I jerked my head, furrowing my brows. I tried to find that cloud again.
Another drop fell upon my eyelid, then another, then another. Frustrated, I searched the sky for the source of the rain, just as a raindrop fell directly toward my eye.
Except it wasn't rain.
The small drop of dark, earthen mud landed heavily upon my cheek as my eyes flew open.
I shook my head, seeing the comforting darkness around me. A strange dream, rain turning to dirt. I began to stretch, then froze.
Except that I didn't freeze.
It is not possible to freeze when you can't move.
My breath became ratcheted as I first tried to move my hands, then my legs. Straining, I jerked my body upward, the only direction I could move. I cried out in pain as my head smashed into wood.
I stopped moving, stopped breathing, stopped thinking. For I could finally see.
All around me, the walls of dark oak pressed in. The wood enveloped me, casing me inside an inescapable cocoon of dank wood. One small sliver of light shone down onto me, a crack in the oaken wood.
I was in a coffin.
I started to scream, the yell bursting from my throat when that earthen rain fell on me once more. It filled my mouth with its rotten powder, and my scream turned into a choke as I retched. I spat the dirt out, whimpering as I saw a worm crawl away.
I cried out again, straining my voice to be heard over the muffled thump that reverberated around the coffin, synchronized with the rain of dirt.
The thumps stopped, as I cried with relief. I heard the sound as two feet landed next to this dark box I was in.
Thank God, thank God. Someone had heard me. I shudder, a mixture of "Help me" and "Thank you, thank you," escaping my raw throat.
The coffin lid creaked open, and I shut my eyes against the sun as my savior reached down.
I smiled, as I whimpered my thanks.
That was the last thing I said before a rag was shoved into my mouth, and the coffin lid closed. The darkness returned again, suffocating me with its presence. The darkness was all I had left, along with the sound of the shovelful's of dirt and my muffled screams.
Slowly, slowly, the small rain of dirt fell down through the crack above me. It rested atop the rag at first, but as more and more fell, it slowly sifted through the cloth and down into my throat.
My muffled screams became quieter and quieter as the dirt slowly slid down my throat.
Eventually, no screams came from my empty body, and all that was left was the darkness. A cold, haunted darkness only found six feet beneath the ground.
For a moment, the world faded, as my mind slowly began to wake. But the dream held on, and happily I slipped back into the peaceful world.

Bradley Doo Where Are You?
"Dude, Where are the rest of the Bradley Snacks™ Brad?" Said Camden as they rode down a bumpy, gravel road in the back of the old Mystery Machine.
"Ruh Roh Camden, Rooks rike I ate the role rox."
"Like..Brad, I told you to save some for me man" exclaimed Camden
"Ree hee hee hee hee" laughed Brad as he rubbed his stomach while he finished off the rest of the box of snacks.
"Hold on gang! Listen to this!" Said Josh as he turned up the radio.
"There has been an increasing amount of disappearances from the Fideles Christian School senior class over the past couple of months and no one seems to have any clue on where these students could be. The entire community is frightened by these mysterious disappearances and refuses to go anywhere near the school. If you have any information on where these kids could be located please contact the police."
"Well, guys I think we know where we are off to next." said Devin while pushing up his glasses.
"Thats right!" Agreed Josh "Gang, It looks like we have a mystery on our hands!"
"But where do we even start?" asked Brittany as she finished brushing her hair.
"The best place to start would be where the crime happened itself, Fideles Christian School." said Devin confidently.
Awww like, come on guys! Brad and I were just about to head to my favorite sandwich shop! It's super sandwich Sunday!" said Camden
"Rike reah! Re were ronna rorder the whole menu! Rwice!
"It's too late to not solve this mystery now, lets get going!'' said Josh while ignoring the hungry duo and yanking the wheel in the opposite direction headed towards the school.
The whole crew got out of the van and walked through a empty parking lot to get to the small warehouse-like school. Camden opened the door and was immediately greeted with the stern face of the school principal, the well known Mr. Whisenant.
"Why are you hooligans hanging around my school? It's a sunday for crying out loud!" said the principal with a harsh voice"
"Like, we're just here to check out where all those students have been disappearing man" Said Camden intimidated by the large man.
"Rike, yeah man" Said Brad soon after.
Mr. Whisenant sighed as he opened the door to the school completely and invited them in.
He explained that the entire senior class had disappeared with the exception of one of the newer students, David.
Mr. Whisenant hesitantly wished them his luck and returned to his office to finish up his work and sing some oldies in solitude.
Alright gang you know the drill, its time to split up. The girls and I will go talk to that remaining senior and Camden and Brad are going to go look around the school for clues.
"Why do we have to go look around, I don't wanna!" exclaimed Camden
"Yeah, me reither!"
"Would you do it for a Bradley Doo Snack?" asked Brittany.
"Nuh uh" Camden and Brad said in unison.
"How about a whole box of Bradley Doo Snacks?" said Devin shaking a box of snacks teasingly
Brad ran on all fours, jumped up, and grabbed the box straight from Devin's hand and continued to run toward the lower school side of the building.
"Like Brad!" Shouted Camden while chasing after him "Save some for meeee"
"Ree hee hee hee hee hee" laughed Brad as he made his speedy getaway.
Brad continued to run around the entire school trying to eat all the Bradley Doo Snacks he could in the process. Camden was hot on his tail eager to get his hands on some snacks and chased Brad right up into the school attic. Brad ran around the attic on all floors with the box of snacks tightly gripped in his mouth.
" Li-Like Brad! I swear when I catch you your gonna wish yo-"
Camden's threat was cut short as he broke through the old attic floor.
"Zoinks Brad! Im not feeling so good." said Camden with a disoriented look on his face while covered in broken floor boards.
Camden look around he realized he was not in a class room, but a room in between the walls of the school! It was a small narrow space that was dusty and filled with cobwebs. The dark room was also accompanied with a large oven and cauldron in the corner. There were also shelves filled with an abundance of cooking utensils and tasty ingredients.
"Like Brad, get down here! I think I found a gold mine!"
Excited to eat all baking ingredients, Brad did a graceful swan dive into the hole of the floor and slammed right on top of Camden's head. Camden stood up with stars floating around his head and tried to walk around, but he just ended up stumbling and bashing his head again into a large metal door.
"Ramden, whats up rith the roor? asked Brad with a face full of icing stolen from one of the shelves.
Brad tried opening the door but it wouldn't budge. Camden replied "Brad stop messing around with that creepy door and lets get out of this place!"
Just then there was a banging on the door and multiple screams from the other side.
Brad jumped up into Camden's arms obviously spooked by the sounds on the other side of the door.
"Like Brad, that has to be the seniors that disappeared! Quick lets go tell the others and get that door open!"
Suddenly the lights went out and there was blood curdling howl that filled the halls of the school.
" Ruh-Roh"
Josh and the girls called up David and planed to meet him in upper school wing of the school. They searched through the upper school and found David sitting in one of the classrooms working.
"Hey is that you David?" asked Brittany as the group made themselves into the dark classroom.
David let out a squeal and fell out of his chair.
"Oh it's just you guys....Sorry its just I've been a little on edge lately." said David as he got back up onto his chair.
"Don't worry, you've got nothing to worry when you're with us!" said Josh with confidence. " So what's really going on around here David? Do you have any idea what happened to your class mates?
"I honestly have no idea.." said David gloomily. "One would disappear every school day around lunchtime and there was nothing anyone could do about it. The power would go out and then there would be a loud howl that would hurt everyones ears. When the lights came back on, there would always be one less senior. And now, Im the only on left." David got up from his chair quickly and said "I have one thing that might help you guys with your investigation, but its in my car. Let me go get it real quick, wait one sec."
David left and Josh pondered "Hmmm..What could be causing all the howls that David heard."
Josh fixed his ascot and looked around the room for any clues. Thats when the lights went out and a ear-splitting howl echoed though the school. Everyone panicked including Devin who ran into the classroom wall. Devin's glasses flew off his head and Devin fell to the ground.
"Oh no! My glasses! My glasses! I can't see without my glasses!"
Devin frantically crawled around the whole room looking for his glasses when he put his hand on something furry.
"Brad is that you? Thank god! Did you find my glasses?"
There was a huge growl and Devin could feel the hot breath of the beast before him.
"Well did you find it or not Brad?" asked Devin obliviously.
The beast put Devin's glasses back on his head and growled once more attempting to scare Devin.
"Jinkies! It's a werewolf!" The wolf let out another howl and the gang ran out of the classroom as fast as they could.
To be Continued..(AKA Im too tired to finish it)
THIS IS A TRUE STORY
It was a dark, cold late-October night. The air was crisp and chilled right to the bone. We had spent the last few hours getting lost in the the seemingly endless fields of corn, and now it was time to enter the scariest place little 14 year-old me had ever been: the haunted corn maze. As we stood in line I found myself contemplating how I--the girl who screams during horror movie trailers at the movie theater--had gotten talked into going anywhere with the word haunted in the name. "At least I'm not alone," I though to myself as I looked down at Hannah, who was cutting the circulation off in my arm with her nervous grip. "Don't worry," Dalton's reassuring voice was barely audible over the loud creepy haunted house music. I linked arms with Dalton and Hannah, and closed my eyes as I entered the maze. I was at the point of no return.
After stumbling through the misty entrance, I realized it was completely insane to walk through a maze with my eyes closed. Reluctantly, my eyes fluttered open. At first, I wasn't scared. In fact, Hannah and I ran and skipped and laughed through the first 5 minutes of it. I found that, for the most part, if I steered clear of the monsters, they'd steer clear of me.Well, I thought this until the unthinkable happened.
Hannah and I retreated back to our body guard as we saw the undead creatures wielding chainsaws lurking up ahead on the path. Our trio linked arms and started to walk forward, which was unfortunately our only option. When we got close to the roaring saws and their creepy owners, Hannah and I began to scream. I heard Dalton tell them to chase us as Hannah and I took off faster than the two of us had probably ever run in our lives. We sprinted through the rest of the maze with the chainsaws growling at our heels. Terrified, we ran into an old dilapidated shed-looking structure. More Zombies and blood-covered bodies jumped out at us, but all we could do was run forward.
And then finally, there was the end.
