Huck Finn and Lost

The end of Huckleberry Finn reminded me of the end of the TV show Lost, which I watched on Netflix. It was a great show until the last season when you realized that the island they are stranded on is actually purgatory and that no matter what they do they can't truly escape and so in theory the whole story doesn't really matter. When Huck Finn ended I felt like none of the story actually mattered.

I wish it had ended with Huck going and getting his money buying Jim's family out of slavery and then they all went to live in either the territories or in the northern states and they would live happily ever after with plenty of adventure.

What Happen After the Ending?

Many people may not know what happen after the ending of Huck Finn, but I happen to know the 100% true, not lying, no jokes, Illuminati confirmed aftermath of the Adventures of Huck Finn. After the book ended, Huck is walking to the court house to get his money form Judge Thatcher, but on his way their he is kid napped by two dark looking figures, and they put a bag on top of his head that makes him past out. When Huck wakes up, he in a poor lighted room with to mysterious figures in front of him. The mysterious figures tell Huck that he is in the presents of the Illuminati and that he is the choose one who will leaded the Illuminati to world domination. Huck is amazed and confused by what he is told. Then, they start chanting TOM SAWYER a bunch of times. Huck tells them to stop and ask why they are chanting Tom Sawyer, and they replied with, " Are you not Tom Sawyer  the Chosen One?" Then the room got all serious, and Huck knew that if he doesn't say that he is tom sawyer that he is good as dead. Huck  then respond to saying "Yes, that is my name, but you will form now call me, Star Lord." Then the room rejoiced and then Huck went on many adventures on earth and even in space discovering alien worlds and then becoming a Guardian of the Galaxy.

What Happens After

After the ending of the book I think that Huck, Jim, and Tom all start exploring space.  They become super rich and are able to afford anything so they get bored with what is going on in Earth,  Huck comes up with the idea to travel to the moon, so with their money they build the coolest space ship you could think of.  I'm talking Star Wars plus Wall-E  LEVEL.  Its so cool that there is even a microwave oven that also acts as a hot tub,  They have super cool chairs that can summon and make any food that they dream of.   Soon their space ship is ready to take off, so they travel to the moon. When they get to the moon they get really bored because there is nothing there so they fly to Pluto.  There they find  some aliens that they trade with to get some hyper boost jet thrusters that can go at light speed.  So Huck, Jim, and Tom all travel super far away and start colonizing planets.  They decide to return home to Earth and when they get there they find that the people have just invented cars.  They are so disappointed in the Earth people because they are behind in technology so they decide to blow up they world.  Soon they realize that blowing up the Earth was a bad idea so they use their teleporter to travel back in time and save earth. After they save the Earth they try to invent some new fancy things for their supper cool and rad spaceship.  Jim comes up with the idea to make a sandwich press, but that was all ready a thing.  So Huck was like lets create something even cooler so they make a picture frame that is also a TV.  But that's pretty much the same thing as a TV because you can just have a picture show up on the screen.  They don't realize this and decide to sell their new invention, but no one buys it because they don't want to waist their money in something that already exists.  That's okay because is super rich so he doesn't care that he lost a few million dollars.  So They decide to make a lightsaber.  They successfully create one and soon start to sell it.  They make back the million dollars they lost and more.  THE END

The Adventures of Jim ---

I imagine that after the story of the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn ends, Huck, Tom, Jim, head home and try to live comfortably. Tom fits in just fine and is rarely heard from, but Huck is restless. He likes being rich. He likes being well liked, but he misses the adventure and woods. One day as he is sulking and walking through the woods, he runs into Jim. Jim is crying and freaking out about how his daughters just got sold down the river. The Adventures of Jim (insert newly found last name) is a story of Jim going down the river, with Huck, to rescue his daughters and buy them out of slavery. However, after several mishaps and close calls, Jim is forbidden from purchasing them. Left only to fatherly love and adventure, Huck and Jim steal Jim's daughters back and Jim settles happily into a suburban home with his free family.

After the Adventures of Huck Finn

A lot could have happened after the end of the story because a lot of things were left untold. I think that The King and the Duke would have been heard from again and I think Huck would have been dragged back into it too. The King and the Duke had a lot of crimes to answer for so I would assume that the town that caught them would have made sure they stood trial for their crimes. I think Huck would have been dragged back into it because the King and the Duke seem like the people that would try to drag Huck down with them. I think Huck will take his money back from Judge Thatcher because he is going to need that money for his travel to the Territory he spoke of in the book. I believe Huck will go to this Territory because he seeks adventure and this territory will be completely new to him. So just learning about the new area will be an adventure by itself. I assume Tom will return back home and tell the tale of how they broke Jim out of prison over and over and that each new time he told it he would twist it in some way to make it sound better and better. Jim now being free I assume will travel North and try to acquire a job and make money so that he may buy his wife and kids out of slavery so that his whole family can be free together. I'm not entirely sure what robots have to do with this, also I'm not entirely sure what the point of that picture is, and if it was mentioned in the book then I don't remember reading it so I'm going to say no robots were not involved. Especially since I'm pretty sure robots did not exist back then.

Alternative ending

In my personal opinion, the ending to Huck Finn was disappointing. He spends the entire book going on adventures and doing crazy things only to end it with him saying hes tired of writing the book because its too much work.... Okay??? Come on... I think the ending should have been more resolved with a happy ending so this is how I think it should've ended.

I had just found out my pap had died, but I wasn't too upset about it because I knew he was a terrible father and person so the world would just be better off without him. Jim and I decided to go get my money and because of our newfound friendship, I gave him enough so he could go buy his family out of slavery and they could live happily. Now after we got his family taken care of, he decided he didn't want me to go around the territory by myself. He and his family packed up and left with me to go explore the great unknown. All was well in my eyes as all I saw up ahead of me was a new place for adventures.

What Happens Next?

For your blog post today, imagine what happened after the end of Huck Finn. Were the Duke and the King ever heard from again? What did Huck do with his money? Did Huck head out to the territory? What about Jim and Tom? Were robots involved?

Choice 2: if you did not like how the novel ended, you may write an alternate ending.

If you are pressed for time, you may do this in bullet point form.
